How to prevent household transformer accessories from burning out

Generally speaking, the power of a home computer ranges from 250W to 300W. If your transformer accessories have a power of over 200W, you can use them with confidence. As long as they are produced by a reputable manufacturer, they will definitely not burn.

After turning on the computer for two hours, the transformer is very hot. Do you know how many degrees it is? People feel hot when touching something with a temperature of around 50 degrees, and can tolerate it for about 1 second when touching something with a temperature of 70 degrees. The maximum working temperature for regular transformer accessories is at least 105 degrees Celsius (Class A insulation), with a permissible temperature rise of 60 degrees Celsius. If the surface temperature of your transformer accessories is below 70 degrees Celsius and you carefully smell the coils of the transformer accessories after working for one hour without any burnt smell, then you can use them with confidence.

If you're really not at ease,

1. The method of strong cooling with a fan can be used, which is to blow a small fan towards the transformer, which is absolutely effective;

2. Go to the place where electronic products are sold and buy a few appropriately sized aluminum heat sinks to stick on the iron core of the transformer to enhance heat dissipation. The transformer should be placed in a spacious area and not enclosed;

3. If the power of transformer accessories is much lower than the power consumption of your computer, it is recommended that you buy a large transformer or buy an equally large one for parallel use, after all, safety comes first.
